No, our care and support is free of charge.

Is Hospice care only for cancer patients?

No, Hospice EBOP cares for terminally ill patients of any diagnosis.

How will my donation be used?

All donations are spent locally to provide palliative care in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

Must I or my family member be referred to Hospice EBOP by a doctor?

Yes, it's important your GP assesses that Hospice is the service you need at this time.​

Where is Hospice care provided?

Hospice EBOP does not currently have an inpatient unit. Care is provided in patients homes or aged care facilities.

Do you visit patients in remote areas of the district?

Yes, our nurses travel to visit patients across the whole Eastern Bay of Plenty, from Matata to Te Kaha, and Ruatoki.
