Syringe Driver Full Competency Workshop

Programme Aim: ‘To assist Registered Nurses to obtain the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills they require to manage syringe drivers in their place of practice and for Enrolled Nurses to be competent in checking’.

​

Structure: The Syringe Driver Competency programme consists of three parts;

​

1. Pre-reading workbook containing rationales, guidelines, drug information and practice calculations
2. A two hour workshop consisting of one hour of tutorial based learning and one hour of practical hands on learning with the syringe driver and practical assessment.
3. Attainment of competence. This consists of completing a written test paper. One hour is allocated at the end of the workshop however participants do have the option of returning this by no later than one week post the workshop.

Cost: $50.00 (GST inclusive) per participant. Invoice will be emailed to participant following registration.

Spaces limited to 10 participants 

Only Full Competency syringe driver training will be offered this year
